Teen Wellness Initiative

What is the Teen Wellness Initiative?  In a continued effort to make wellness accessible to all, we have partnered up with Kingsville District high school students, to create a program that will be implemented into the school this year.  We are very excited to be a part of this movement called "Well For All".  Here is a little blurb about the initiative written by KDHS student and founder of Well For All Ava Augustine.

"Well For All is a student led wellness initiative starting this September at Kingsville District High School.  This project is directed to eliminate common stigmas associated with mental health among youth, students and teachers in the community.  Through this program the goal is to ensure that students have the access to resources and activities to enrich their wellbeing and to help cope with stress, as well as providing new initiatives to further enhance everyone's school experience.  Furthermore, the Well For All program promotes the idea that mental wellness is for everybody and taking care of your mental health is just as important as your physical health, especially during the pandemic.  This school year is going to be challenging for many students and staff as it includes change and new learning environments.  However, with the support of our community we have new opportunities to change our outlook on mental wellbeing one mind at a time.
